For Your Glory And With Your Strength, And Not My Own

Stayed at Zi's house last night.
I watched Heroes Season 2 episode 1 with him.
Anyway,
We slept at 3am and woke up at 11am today.
So we woke up,
cooked our lunch and ate them.
After that,
we went cycling around seletar base camp
(that's where he lives).
Anyway,
we explored the abandoned areas and took alot of nice pictures.
We came across this massive tree
and it was really MASSIVE.
We then rode to seletar airport and back home after that.
Prepared to go for church and reached yio chu kang station at around 2.10pm.
Waited for Yisin for quite awhile before making our way down to novena.
When we reached there,
pre-service setup was done as we were late.
So during pre-service prayer,
we slit into our accountability group;
Ying Hao, Seah, Zi and me.
We prayed for each other and for service.
It is great having people praying for you.
After that we started worship.
Gospel preaching after and today,
God spoke to me.
Seah told me God told him to tell me this,
"Don't do it for your own glory, but for God's glory."
And today's sermon was about:
The Posture of Paul.
Which talked about how we must be like Paul and adopt a posture of love, total reliance and humility.
Which really spoke to me as i felt i have indeed been trying to go on with my own strength.
Not only that,
but i felt that i also have a very low self-esteem.
Anyway,
someone prayed for me and whoever did that,
i thank you.
We had to setup the chairs after service for the sunday service.
Dinner afterwards and Seah decided to go to Roccovo to buy chicken rice.
I wanted to try their pork and i asked that person,
"Uncle, can i have pork rice?"
Haha.
Too bad no more pork they said.
Pork rice..
Haha.
So went to the foodcourt as usual and joked around.
Tried to trick people into drinking this weird concoction that i made and disguised in a Mcdonald cup.
Dudley, Shawn, Zi, Seah, Seah and Seah was tricked.
Seah got tricked 3 times.
Haha.
Real smart Seah.
Anyway,
after church went to starbucks to study with Leslie, Ying Hao, Keith, Jeremy and Dudley.
Seah went home after awhile.
It was during that time that the Devil attacked me.
I suddenly felt inferior as compared to the rest as some of my church mates have an L1B5 of 10, 15, 17 and 20.
What did i get?
A pathetic 28.
So if im thinking of geting less than 10,
it will be near impossible.
I started questioning myself why am i studying so hard when i know that the outcome will still go against me.
I started feeling emo and all quiet.
Went home at around 11.15pm and caught the second last train to toa payoh.
Took 153 later and i was feeling really down.
I talked to God and He did the most amazing thing.
While on the bus,
i listened to "God Is My Strength" on my handphone,
closed my eyes and God showed me 3 visions.
I teared after that in utter shame..

To God Be The Glory

So i didnt went to school today as i didnt feel like going.
Haha.
Anyway,
i basically studied the whole day,
with a few slacking moments.
I started out to kovan Mac at 12.30pm and studied for 1 hour before Zi came to join me.
We then studied all the way till 3.15pm when Janice came.
We continued to study and around 5pm,
Zi was hungry and wanted to eat.
But we had to wait for Eleanor,
so i told him to have faith that she's coming soon.
Apparently she came 2 hours later.
Haha.
Zi was like so weary and hungry.
We rushed to the prata stall nearby and chiong'd all the prata there.
Haha.
A widespread of food and we went back to Mac to study after that.
We decided to try to type the SMS into the Mac TV thingy.
So we waited and waited for our messages to appear.
Zi was fed up with waiting as our wait dragged for around 1 hour.
And during that 1 hour of wait,
the name "loudemary" kept repeating and we are all now hating that name.
Stupid loudemary.
Then there was the name Gina.
Apparently,
we thought of two ways pronuouncing this name.
Go figure yourselves.
Haha.
So went home and now i am going over to Zi's house.
Ciaos people.
Thank you Seah for telling me that.
I believe God wants me to be more humble and use His strength instead of my own.
To God be the glory!

Surge Of Zai-ness

Today was a long and grueling day.
School was filled with all the sian periods except physics.
Beginning to love this subject with the help from my friends.
Anyway,
nothing much happened today,
except the fact that i tio tau pok'd again.
Haha.
So after school i went straight home and watched Heroes Season 2!
I love Heroes man,
simply awesome show.
Awesome to the MAX MAX MAX.
Haha.
So watched and went out at around 5.15pm.
It was pouring heavily,
really heavily.
I had to take the umbrella along with me,
which didnt really made much of a difference.
So i reached heartland mall in a long while and went to popular to buy the chemistry past year papers book.
Went to Mac after that to mug.
Started at 6.05pm and ended at around 10.20pm.
Still felt that that wasnt enough.
I really want to push myself to the limit and show the people who dont believe in me that i can do it.
I can get into the JC with God's strength.
But i have to work very hard and that's what i am trying to do now.
Hopefully these will all pay off.
But no matter what my O level score is,
praise God i will!
Now is time to get my surge of zai-ness ongoing.

With God, Nothing Is Impossible

So today was another typical school day.
Woke up at 9am,
went to school and played football.
After that we went back late to class.
Apparently the e2 and e3 teachers wouldnt mind us going back to class late.
But the e4 boys;
Jia Yi, Guan Liang, Tai Hong and Eugene Seah
got punished by Mrs Edison for going back late.
They were reprimanded and given to Mr Rashidin for them to run rounds.
Anyway,
today during maths lesson was yet another lesson where people around me were just discussing about their better-than-mine L1B5 scores.
They were discussing which JC to go to for the first 6 weeks while i tried to divert my attention by doing the maths paper.
Hais.
I will prove all those who dont believe in me that i'll be able to push my grades up by 6 grades,
not through my own strength but through God's strength.
During recess,
the ball got confiscated and we all got nothing to do again.
So we decided,
why not?
Let's go e3 to tau pok more people again.
And so we did.
Haha.
I stood at the the side most of the time directing traffic and got myself tau pok'd by the guys in the end.
Haha.
Went back to class after recess and just studied till school ended.
Went home immediately after school and slacked for a while.
At around 6pm,
i went to eat dinner with my dad and studied at Mac by my own after that.
Met Leslie and a few others from my church during my 4 hours there.
Reached home at around 10.30pm and i rested.
At this point of time,
i really feel that i've got to pull up my socks,
literally.
Work harder and i'll leave the results to God.
9 points is what i aim.
Seemingly impossible,
but hey,
"With God, nothing is impossible."
- Luke 1:37

Thank You Jesus

Today was a normal day of school,
only thing was today's recess we did not play football as there wasnt any ball for us to kick.
So Phua decided,
"Hey! Why don't we all go up to e3 not to tau pok Hao Zhi cause we didnt do it yesterday."
Immediately,
all of us walked in a gang up with every staircase taken,
to prevent Hao Zhi from trying to escape.
We reached the top level and surrounded the e3 classroom.
I had the honours to sing the "Happy belated birthday to you..." song before grabbing Hao Zhi outside to get tau pok'd.
Eventually he got held down and we started the tau poking session,
2 sessions to be exact.
After tau poking Hao Zhi,
we procceeded to tau pok Tom Tay Seng Meng.
Haha.
He will always surely kena one.
After Seng Meng was Guan Liang's turn.
Haha.
A combination of e1, e2, e3, e4, and e5 people joined the tau poks.
After that,
classes resumed and kinda like that all the way till the end of the school where the sec 4 and sec 5 pupils have to go to the lecture room to have a lecture on our poorly done prelim examinations,
She started crapping all the stuffs and instead of motivating pupils,
she demoralised some of them.
What a dumb VP we have.
Hais.
Anyway,
after the wate-of-time lecture,
Bryan, Wei Kang, Yong Liang, Daryl, Jun Hao and me went to compass point to eat our lunch.
Bryan and Wei Kang left after eating while the rest of us went to the library to study.
It was a fruitful study time as i learnt many things from Daryl and especially Yong Liang.
Thanks guys.
Gotta really buck up on my physics if i want that A.
Went home at around 7.10pm and ate my dinner.
After that,
i watched a little bit of TV before doing finish the physics workout questions.
Did finished and do my quiet time.
Was feeling quite weird this morning when i didnt do it last night.
Anyway,
i just thank God for the great friends He's given me.
My life,
everything,
is all because He gave it to me.
I love you Jesus
(:

Omnipotence Of God

Today was the day where we all got back our prelim results
and i can just say that i didnt do well.
Oh well,
it was a reflection on how much effort i put in into my studying.
I just thank God for giving me the peace in my heart,
even whe many people were comparing their better grades around me.
Well,
i am only human.
And the inferiority soon came to me.
But God took it all away when He spoke to me.
He said,
"The sun would still shine even through the pouring rain."
Just how great is the Lord.
Went through our papers today and had a few free periods where we goofed around instead of studying like some of other classmates are.
I guess the peace was in me.
After school,
went to rp to eat with the guys.
As soon as i ate finished,
i took out my a maths 5-year series and did trigonometry while the rest of the people were still eating.
I figured on saturday's sermon that we had to do our small part (studying hard) and God will handle the results according to how much we've done.
I lay it all on you God.
Studied till 6pm and went home.
Went out to eat with my parents after eating,
they sent me to kovan Mac where i studied.
Guess who i saw there?
Xiang Yu!
You may think that it's coincidence but it was God's intention and fate for us to meet at that period of time.
So we studied together.
He studied physics while i studied chemistry.
Studied for around one-and-a-half hours and we were both drained out.
Then i felt it was God speaking to me to speak to Xiang Yu.
So i told him about many stuffs;
God loves us, God can grant one peace etc.
And he slowly opened up.
We both spoke honestly about stuffs and it was really amazing to see how God can use me to speak to him.
I really hope that what i spoke to Xiang Yu would really get him to start thinking,
cause i agape him and i really dont want to see him in hell.
I'll just continue praying for his salvation and hopefully,
God will speak to him.
Thank you God,
for everything you've given me;
peace and love.

I Surrender Everything

Old people...
respect them.
I just hate it when people shun some old people selling stuffs who are in need of money.
We'll grow old too and would any of you like it if some younger dude treat you harshly and shun you.
C'mon,
you can just give the guy $2,
i mean, how much more can $2 mean to you more than that old guy?
People,
give more to those in need and when the time comes when you need something,
others will give it to you.
Read 2 Corinthians 8:13-14
"I am not trying to relieve others by putting a burden on you; but since you have plenty at this time, it is only fair that you should help those who are in need. Then, when you are in need and they have plenty, they will help you. In this way both are treated equally."
So, help those in need people.

Today i woke up early and went to church early.
While walking to the bus stop,
it started to rain heavily.
I had to run my butt off to the bus stop.
Took the bus eventually and proceeded to Toa Payoh and then Novena.
Reached Tan Tock Seng at around 10am and was wondering where are the others.
Only Jodi and Jesslyn came to Tan Tock Seng as they were the only ones who had umbrellas with them.
At around 10.30am,
we headed for church.
It was still raining and i just strolled through the rain.
Reached church and today's worship was great!
The sermon today was about peace;
The Shoes of Preparation of Peace.
It was so awesome as i was just praying to God to teach me how to get the peace in my heart.
Today's sermon taught me exactly how to do that.
Praise God.
Alter call and i answered.
Pastor Ben prayed for me and it was so awesome as the holy spirit was working within me.
After church,
went for lunch and then back to church to study.
I studied for 1 hour and just fell asleep there.
Haha.
Was really tired.
I even fell asleep while peeing!
Just ask Daryl.
Haha.
Went home after that and went out for dinner with my parents.
When to this place and we had to wait for our food for 30mins!
Then after eating,
this old guy came along and told my father,
"Nian qing ren, bang wo mai popiah hao mah? Qiu qiu ni, liang kuai er yi. Bang bang lau ren hao mah."
My father bought it and i was just wondering about how the world is today.
Poverty has driven people into desperation selling;
how cruel THIS world is.
Oh well,
another better world will be waiting for me,
the one where God is in charge and not the prince of liars.
I just want to thank God for really speaking to me today.
Indeed,
i'll surrender every result to You cause i know that you do everything for the good of me.
I surrender everything to You O' Lord..

Agape Love

Today Zi and me woke up,
waited for lunch and proceeded to church together.
We were late cause Zi went to buy a neck chain and i went to buy sweets before that.
We reached,
worshipped and listened to the word of God.
Today's sermon talked about how we must be like St. Paul;
he was single-minded and had a strong spirit of endurance.
It spoke to me as i've not really been preaching the gospel to my friends as i feared of certain things.
I just pray to God to teach me how to counter these qualities of mine.
After sermon was life group.
We were given a pieve of paper where we would pass around the circle to write about what you've done for that person and what that person has done for you.
This was to create a better awarness that we ought to love each other as brothers and sisters in the body of Christ.
I pray that God would teach me how to communicate with those people whom i've not speak to frequently.
Well,
during life group,
one new brother was added to our group;
Yisin.
Praise God!
After that,
Zi got baptised with the holy spirit and i felt that i had to pray for Seah and so i prayed for him.
After church,
went for dinner as usual.
Zi, Zi Xiang and Yisin went home.
Ate finished dinner and some of us went to cold storage to get drinks.
I helped Leslie to buy and the two green tea bottles were put on my arms to make it look like the mocha advertisement guy's muscles.
Haha.
After that,
we just slacked around and went home after that.
Apparently something Leslie did angered Jesslyn and we were trying to calm and cheer her up.
I just pray that she'll forgive Leslie for whatever he has done.
And in an attempt to cheer Jesslyn up,
i did the stupidous thing;
i ran myslef toward the wall like a retard right in the MRT station.
Well,
i saw a small smile on her face which meant that i succeeded in a certain extent.
After that,
Jodi got angry for some certain reason and i tried to cheer her up as well.
Reached Toa Payoh and just accompanied the two sisters to the interchange.
Exchanged a few words with Jesslyn,
hoping to cheer her up,
and then their bus came.
Went home after that and watched this cool show on the History Channel,
didnt even know there was such a channel.
It was a 2-hour show called:
The Countdown To Armegeddon.
Well,
it really talked about the bible prophesies coming true and that the coming of Christ is near.
I tried contacting as many christian friends whom i know had SCV to watch that show.
For those who missed it,
there are 2 more repeats tomorrow, 23/09/07
at 9am and 3pm.
It's on channel 8 of the SCV.
Well,
i think God spoke to me today that i must learn to shower more love for my brothers and sisters.
And to my fellow brothers and sisters,
i agape you (:

Speak To Me

Today was supposed to be hair check day,
but it ended up being some CCA thing.
We confirmed our CCA achievments and merits.
I got a d7.
A d7!
Even Cheng Shen got a c6.
I participated in races almost more than anyone around.
And i got 0 for paticipation and 0 for achievment
when i won like 3 competitions for the school.
I was so pissed cause it was because of choir.
I went the full first year and just left only right before the syf
and they put there:
'Attendance: 0".
Hopefully that edison can do something about it.
Anyway,
the day just got worse.
I failed combined humans (just as i expected).
That wasnt the bad part.
I didnt do quite well for my a maths and i just hate being in class when that happens.
Not that i hate 4e2 or something,
it 's a great class,
but sometimes the people there can get so competitive.
They like to compare their grades with many people and their blabbing got into my mind.
I heard someone say if you dont get at least b3 for prelims,
you can forget about that a1 or a2 for o level.
Was really down and i didnt speak to anyone but God.
After school got alone and went for physics practical.
After physics practical,
i couldnt take chemistry practical anymore and i just skipped it.
The amazing thing about God is using people.
And He used Ying Hao to speak to me.
Out of the blue,
he just messaged me a sentimental thing and it really spoke to me.
Oh well,
everything happened for a reason.
Anyway,
went to play football after that with the guys and left at around 5.10pm.
Went to meet for study group with Zi, Janice and Eleanor.
Studied at compass starbucks till around 9pm.
Left and went to Zi's house to grab his stuff.
Then he came over to my house after that.
Went to eat prata with my parents and the pratas are like...
wow!
So all in all,
it couldve been a really bad day,
but thanks to God who used Ying Hao,
it made me better.
I just pray that He'll continually give me the peace in my heart.

Bondings

Today was the pure sciences' paper 1.
Chemistry,
quite easy.
Physics,
quite easy...
to fail!
Haha.
Anyway,
i dont care about the results anymore.
As i said,
i'll surrender everything to God and let His will be done.
So after the paper,
i went home and went out after that to meet the team to go to queensway.
There was:
Jia Yi, Wei Jie, Guan Liang, Hao Zhi, Gilbert, Cheng Shen, Seng Meng, Desmond, Jing Zhong, Kang Cheng and me.
I slept on the 153 bus to queensway while the others,
as usual,
played 'dai di' on the bus.
Reached there and Gilbert started looking for a street soccer shoe he could be;
he eventually bought a golden-coloured tunit +50,
i think.
Went around the place searching for boots and i found my new love;
a blue coloured puma boots.
It costs $169.
Most likely will be getting that after o levels.
While Wei Jie and Jing Zhong continued their hunt for nike vapour boots.
Jia Yi and the rest decided to buy tunits' after o levels as well.
After buying Bert's shoes,
we went to Mac to chill and out came the cards again.
Five tables,
8 people playing 'dai di' and 1 person playing psp.
Haha.
After about 2 hours of spontaneous 'dai di',
we finally left that place for home.
Nothing much happened after that;
sat the bus, the guys played 'dai di' on it again and dropped at the stop outside my house.
Went home and went out for dinner with my parents.
I really want to thank God for assuring me some things today.
Not only for that,
but for the bonds we (Saints') have.
Went to meet Douglas, Seah and Zi at Kovan Mac for our last follow-up session.
8 weeks certainly passed so quickly.
We prayed for each other and fellowshipped together.
Left there at around 9.45pm,
came back and did my quiet time.
I am proud to say that for the first time,
i did a 1 hour quiet time session.
Prayed to God to show me how some things are done.
So all in all,
once again,
i just want to thank God,
for the bondings today..

Hallelujah

Finally finished my New Life Kit.
8 weeks had indeed gone away so quickly.
Praise God (:
Well,
today was geography paper 1;
40 multiple-choice questions.
It was alright and i just want to thank God for giving me the infinite peace.
Went home at like 9.25am and slacked all the way till 2pm.
Met Hao Zhi and Wei Jie at starbucks to study.
Had great fun and learnt quite a few things.
Did the past few years' o level paper 1 with Hao Zhi.
Did 2 papers and i switched to chemistry.
Hao Zhi was like,
"Chemistry? Give up already la!"
Haha.
Then we studied and studied until Wei Jie borrowed my psp.
Then,
it just left me studying.
Hao Zhi and Wei Jie were enticed by my psp and they started swearing when they missed a goal.
So i told Wei Jie not to say "Banglah" so loudly.
I taught him a new way to say that word without anyone scolding you.
Say with the action,
"Bang lah!"
Haha.
Then Hao Zhi's girlfriend came to join us for a while.
We then studied till around 7.30pm when Wei Jie left for tuition.
Hao Zhi's girlfriend left earlier.
It was down to me and Hao Zhi,
and we studied till 8pm.
I accompanied him to Comics Connection at desuaded him to buy a comic book which costs $8.50.
What a waste of money man.
So we left the shop empty handed and headed home.
Reached home and again,
slacked all the way.
And i finished my New Life Kit man!
Feel so empty now.
Haha.
I just pray that God will continue speaking to me every single day.
Hallelujah!

Frustration Starting To Kick In

Today was physics paper 2 and i am proud to say,
it's uber tough.
Was struggling to do the whole entire paper.
Studied all the definitions in the whole textbook,
in the end only one came out;
specific latent heat of fusion - The specific latent heat of fusion of a substance, is the quantity of heat needed to change a unit mass of the substance from solid form to liquid form without a temperature change.
I still remembered.
Anyway,
walked away from everybody as i didnt want to experience yet another just-after-exam-discussions.
Just felt i screwed up the paper.
I skipped question 1,
then 2 and 3.
Then i went back to question 1 again.
Pathetic right.
This is the kind of frustration where 'you-thought-you-knew-physics' backfired.
So played football after that and more frustation kicked in.
I practically suck,
big time.
My stamina,
gone.
My football moves,
gone.
Was really frustrated and had to hide it.
Went home after school while the rest went to Gilbert's house to 'party'.
Slacked around as usual.
Slept at 3pm and woke up at 7.30pm.
Then i thought to myself,
and am still thinking:
'Good job Lewis, tomorrow's geography paper 1 and you haven't studied one bit. And you're still sitting here blogging. Nice one!'
Oh well,
it's through my stoning at home that i realised that perhaps we may not do well for a paper,
but God is definately preparing us for bigger things;
the o levels.
So all we need to do is hunger more for God and to do that little small part we all must do;
study.
I used 'we' as i know there are people out there who likes to question;
either themselves or God.
I was once one of them.
But now,
well,
you guys can see the change in me
(:
Off to study for me!

Wonderous Hope

This morning when i woke up,
i felt the urge to pray to God;
hoping that Russia and the effects of Japan's deafeat would come out for today's history exam.
Well,
went to school to take the test and guess what?
Russia came out as the souce-based question and Japan came out for structured essay quesion.
Wow!
Though the part of Russia was on the part that i did not studied,
it still is Russia (just as i prayed).
Indeed,
hope does not disappoint!
After the paper,
went to the field to kick football for a little while before making my way back home.
Upon reaching home,
i wanted to sleep.
I layed on the bed,
told my maid to wake me up at 1pm,
and just when i wanted to sleep..
i couldnt.
Haha.
So i got up and just slacked around.
At around 2,
i decided that it was enough of slacking around and i made my way to compass starbucks where i solo'd my studying there.
Met Alex as he was walking past starbucks and we hung out for a while.
It was his birthday and i thank God for giving me this opportunity to wish him so.
Ying Hao came afterwards and brought with him bananas.
Haha.
So we studied and Alex left.
Clement and Wee Kiat coincidentally went there to study as well.
Sat at different tables and Dud, Bryan and Daryl came to join us later.
At about 6pm,
Dud and me went down to cold storage to buy something to eat;
Ying Hao left.
We two ended up buying 4 packets of twisties,
hoping to share with the others.
2 BBQ chicken flavour and 2 tomato flavour.
Dud got some sushi whilst i got some tu-tu kueh.
Went back and only finished 2 packets of twisties.
Studied and Darly left at around 8pm.
That was when Dud lost all his mojo and he started to slack.
So did Bryan;
he ended up discriminating me in every way possible.
Cheng Shen came to join us a while later and he taught me alot of things!
Thanks Breast-boy.
Studied till 9.30pm and we headed home.
So all in all,
i just want to say the same thing as yesterday:
Hope never disappoints
(:

Final Score: Sunday

Hope Never Disappoints!

Woke up at 10.10am today.
Haha!
Actually woke up at 8.30am,
but being a boy,
i decided to sleep for another 5 mins.
It ended up being 1hr 40mins.
Haha.
Quickly freshened myself up, changed and rushed out of my house.
I knew i was going to be late for church,
so i attempted to hail a cab while running along the road.
I eventually ran all the way to the other bus stop.
Got tired of waiting and took 153 to Toa Payoh.
Took the MRT afterwards and reached church at 11am.
I was praying that i wouldnt miss sermon today and i didnt.
Praise God.
Decided to contribute the 10 bucks i didnt spend on the cab to the church fund.
Haha.
Today's speaker was Pastor Neiville Tan, aka The Iron Man.
His message today was:
Hope Will Never Disappoint.
It was really amazing as i was talking how i hated being short yesterday,
and i receive this message that hope will never disappoint.
How great the Lord is.
Indeed,
hope will never disappoint.
The Lord never promised us smooth sailing,
problems arouse to endurance
and endurance arouses to hope.
That is what the Lord promised to us;
hope.
After church,
went to Tan Tock Seng to eat and Seah came to join us.
Apparently he woke up late for church again.
Anyway,
we went back to church to study afterwards.
Jeremy came to join us.
Actually wanted to study history but ended up with nothing in my brain.
Shaun attempted to put something our brains but we just couldnt take the information.
Thanks anyway Shaun.
Went to Tan Tock Seng starbucks after the church closed to study physics with Ying Hao, Seah, Keith and Jeremy.
Seah left soon after arriving.
Studied till 6.45pm and went to eat dinner.
After dinner,
we were supposed to continue studying,
but i ended up snoozing on the starbucks couch.
Woke up 10 mins later and decided that i was too tired to study.
So me and Ying Hao went home.
Reached home at around 8.10pm.
Slacked then read through my history notes.
Guess it doesnt make much of a difference;
it's going to be a miracle if i could pass tomorrow's history exam.
So all in all,
it was a tiring day.
Yep, that's it,
a tiring day.
But something i learnt today is that
hope never will disappoint..

Trail-Blazing

Short.
That's what i am.
I know i am and i dont exactly like it.
The feeling of looking around in the MRT knowing that you're the shortest 16 year old there,
the agony of people telling you you are and having to fake a smile out of it.
Though i do not like it,
i know God has a purpose for making me short,
i dont know what it is,
but i know He has.
Today i was supposed to play football in the morning with my brother,
but it rained in the end.
Stayed at home after that and slacked all the way till 2.30pm.
Went with my parents to some place at Toa Payoh which sells lots and lots of plastic items.
After which they dropped me off at Toa Payoh interchange.
Took the MRT to Novena and procceeded to church.
Today's message was how to be a successive trail-blazer.
It really spoke to me as i know that i havent been a good christian so far;
vulgarities and dirty jokes.
So i received the alter call and got prayed for from Shaun and James.
Shaun baptised me with the holy spirit and i received it.
Started talking in a language i never knew;
tongues.
Went to sit down after that and we started to pray for each other.
After that,
we started imitating the mocha tv advertisement.
"There is my kitchen!"
Haha.
Went for dinner after that and Zi and his friend came to join us after their school thingy.
Played Taboo after eating.
Played until around 8.30pm then we all went home.
Sent Jesslyn and Jodi to the bus interchange and then procceeded to study at Toa Payoh Mac.
Studied and went to meet my mom afterwards.
So my brother came to send us home.
So all in all,
the day was alright.
God..
i just pray that you'll help me to be more Christlike from now on.
Then,
i'll be trail-blazing..

Can World's Strongest Dad

Two words:
Simply touching..

A tribute to the guy everybody calls the greatest father ever.
This guy went through all agony to run an ironman race for and with his disabled son.
A story that touches many hearts..

God'll Give My Mojo Back

Today was a terrible e maths paper 2.
Though many may feel it was quite alright,
i didnt actually finished doing it.
The stupid graph took all my time.
Oh well,
cant blame anyone much considering the fact that i did not study one bit yesterday,
God already gave me enough knowledge to do the paper.
Thank you.
Anyway,
went home after school cause i did not want to spend money on lunch again.
Slacked till around 3 and Zi came.
Stayed at my house till 4.30pm then we went to meet Janice at Hougang Mall.
Me and Zi had trouble deciding between KFC or Mac.
So we decided to play rock scissors paper in the middle of Hougang Mall to decide;
i win we'll go Mac,
he win we'll go KFC.
I won.
Haha.
We went to Mac and sat down.
then Zi didnt had the 'feel' for Mac.
So we went to KFC in the end.
Haha.
Funny huh.
Anyway,
sat at KFC and waited for Janice.
She came, then we all waited for Eleanor.
Apparently,
Zi was really hungry and couldnt take the hunger anymore.
So we went to eat before Eleanor came.
When Eleanor finally came,
she ate while we waited for her to finish.
Decided to go to Potong Pasir Mac to study after that.
Took the train and i started goofing around.
I challenged all of them to raise our legs perpendicular to our body till we reached Potong Pasir.
When we did reached,
me and Zi refused to give in to each other;
the one who puts the legs down first will 'lose'
When the light ontop of the door flashed,
Zi and me rushed towards the door to attempt to run out.
I made it.
Zi didnt.
Haha.
What a loser.
So we waited for him at Potong Pasir to return.
We proceeded to Mac afterwards and on the way,
Zi challenged me again;
who can kick their slippers the furthest.
I won,
in terms of height.
I hit the ceiling of the MRT station with a loud thud.
Everyboday stared at us while we ran out of the station.
Haha.
Reached Mac,
wanted to buy fullscap paper,
so me and Zi went out in search for a bookshop.
We found one and while walking back to Mac,
we found out the dumbest thing;
there's a bookstore beside the Mcdonalds.
Talk about gong-sters.
So we studied all the way till 9.15pm, went home and did my quiet time.
So all in all,
i just hope God will give me my mojo to study back man.
I need my mojo and i need God..

Thursday, September 13, 2007

Amen.

Today was e maths day and what a day it was.
Thought it was supposed to be difficult,
but it ended up being easier than i thought.
Thank God for that and for giving me the wisdom.
Not only that,
but the peace in my heart.
After the paper,
i went home to eat as i wanted to save money.
So i went home,
ate, slacked and slept.
I slept from 3pm till 7.30pm.
Wow!
Haha.
After that,
i woke up, freshened up myself and went to do follow-up at Kovan Mac.
Doug, Seah and Zi came.
Actually thought we could sit at the ouside tables and i could eat my dinner there;
i took away my dinner, fried rice, from my house to Mac.
Ended up sitting inside as the outside was packed.
Haha.
So i had the packet of fried rice in my bag the whole time.
We did the follow-up session and i have to say that i cant wait till the time of the next baptism;
both of water and fire (spirit).
Ya,
so we did the session till around 9.45pm.
After which i walked home while the guys were sent home by Douglas.
Reached home, did my quiet time and going to eat my dinner in a whilst time.
I realise i havent studied anything for tomorrow's e maths paper 2.
Haha.
I'll pray on God to empower me with the wisdom and understanding to be able to do my paper tomorrow.
Going to the airport later to fetch my mom;
who's coming back from Hong Kong.
I pray to God to grant her a safe journey back.
Really hoping for revival to come to North Vista,
when everyone will come to know God and His glory.
For those non-believers who are reading this,
i challenge you guys to take that first step into coming to know Christ and i guarentee you'll see changes in yourselves and your family,
and you'll definately have no regrets in doing so.
For those believes who are reading this,
continue to spread the Word of God and never lose faith when one person rejects you,
for you are already a seed sown in their souls and they will come to a point of time where they will come to realise that you're a turning fork in their sinful lives.
Continue having the faith and passion my brothers and sisters.
Amen.

God Be My Caffine

It's truly amazing that i do not feel tired at all,
especially with just 3 hours of sleep last night.
I guess this is God's grace as He's provided me with the ultimate caffine i need;
besides coffee.
Today was the geography test,
was quite nervous and afraid that i will not remember all the information,
but God gave me the peace in my heart,
not only that,
but He has guided me through the whole entire paper just as i prayed for.
I was quite relieved after the paper finished and no matter what the result,
let God's will be done (:
Well,
after the paper,
we went to play soccer at the nearby street soccer court.
Before that,
we have to accompany Guan Liang back to KFC as he left his geography file there last night,
and only remembered it this morning.
So it was like one whole bunch of people barging into KFC,
Guan Liang the frontman demanded for the file and we left.
It was like some kind of gang.
Haha.
So after that we proceeded to the street soccer court.
Oh by the way,
Wei Jie stupidly splitted his pants.
Haha.
Dont know how many times already.
Anyway,
we kicked and kicked and decided to rename our team to The Rusty United FC.
Haha.
Wasnt quite seasoned using my 'new' shoes to kick and the day ended with me getting blisters on my soles.
Edmund injured his hand and i pray for that to heal soon.
It was quite nasty.
We kicked and we kicked,
the ball flew and flew out to the open road,
we picked and picked the ball,
we continued and continued.
Haha.
It was really fun.
Funny thing was,
i wasnt tired at all!
Praise God.
After the soccer thing,
went home to slack for a while
before heading out to compass starbucks to meet Dudley and Bryan to study.
Met Miss Chang with some sec 3 girl,
Crystal with Michelle there.
I went there and the first thing Bryan says:
"Oh you're here? I couldn't see you. Sorry black."
So you can probably figure how much more discrimination i have to suffer at the hands of Bryan through the night.
We studied and studied until i felt hungry.
Bryan and me then went to take away something to starbucks to eat.
On the way i learnt a new phrase that i just couldnt stop using:
"Eh brother, got feel or not?"
It was quite mud-ish,
but cool.
Feel means feeling by the way.
So every sentence that i said after that had that phrase included in.
Bryan was so irritated that if it werent for his injured back,
i'd figure he'd beat the living sh*t out of me already.
Thank God for that.
HAHA!
Nah,
i'll pray for God to heal Bryan and his mother soon.
Anyway its kinda fun being chased around by a maniac (Bryan).
Haha.
So i bought Doritos and procceeded back to starbucks.
We studied till around 8.30pm when we became really sianded of e maths.
We started chatting,
Crystal and Michelle joined us.
Apparently Michelle was having trouble forgiving someone and so we gave her advices from the Good News of God.
I even lent her a book about that.
Hopefully it will speak to her.
Both the girls left at 9pm.
We continued to study until around 9.45pm.
During the course of time,
Guan Liang messaged me a maths question that got Dud and me stumped.
After that,
Dud and me went over to Bryan's house to chill further.
Until around 10.45pm that i left.
Took the bus home, did my quiet time and edited a picture.
So all in all,
it's just truly amazing that i am not that tired despite just 3 hours of sleep.
Now it's time for me to go to bed,
indeed,
God be my caffine..

God Is Almighty!

Didnt have school today,
woke up at 11am,
bathed and went off to do an errand.
I waited for 4 hours there,
but it wasnt that bad.
At least i studied my geography there.
After that errand,
i did a stupid thing;
i could've walked back to toa payoh interchange and take 153 back,
but no,
i had to walk from that place to Boon Keng station when i could've taken the bus there too.
Walked for 25mins and got fed up,
decided to take the bus,
and reached Boon Keng station.
Finally!
Was supposed to go to Hao Zhi's house to study with Cheng Shen,
but realised the time and that i will not be able to concentrate there as well.
So i decided to solo my studying at compass starbucks.
After around 10mins of my studying there,
i received a message from Dudley:
"Are you studying now?"
So i replied:
"Yea, you wanna join me? I am at compass starbucks."
And here comes Dudley as my companion.
We studied and studied until it was around 6.30pm that we met Bryan and Daryl.
So they joined us.
It was like the Christians' Reunion or something like that.
Haha.
Then Bryan took out my bible and started flipping around.
We found a few new chapters,
Torbit, Bell And The Dragon,
and we concluded that my bible is a Catholic bible.
I didnt even know about the additonal chapters i had.
Haha.
Daryl left after that.
Then we studied and studied and poof,
here comes Hao Zhi out of nowhere.
He joined us after he sent his girlfriend home.
So we studied and studied and poof,
here comes Bryan's friend, Denise if i remembered correctly.
So she joined us.
Then Hao Zhi started to gay around,
making me and Dud wack him every single time.
So we studied until we were real shagged out and couldnt contain anymore information.
How i hate pure geography.
Bryan was smirking around with us as he does not need to go to school tomorrow.
Hao Zhi left at around 10pm.
We started talking about the end times with the book of Revelations.
Though it may seem scary that the world is dying soon,
i amd just glad i was saved by Him.
Now all i want is for my family to be saved as well.
Well,
we chatted all the way till 11.15pm and we headed home.
Reached home,
did my quiet time, bathed and studied till 2.30am again.
I did some editing of my photos as well.
And so,
my friends,
for those of you who arent saved yet,
here's a message for you:
The Earth is dying soon as He is returning, believe in the Lord and you will be saved from the fires of hell.
The Lord is real and He is almighty.
Have faith in Him and your faith will be payed off.
Changes in me you can see,
what He can do to a sinner's life is truly amazing.
God is almighty..

Chem - me - try

Well,
today was another boring prelim paper.
I was preparing so hard for this,
especially the Organic Chemistry unit.
I prayed before the paper for God to give me the memory to remember whatever i studied.
In the end,
hardly anything i studied came out.
Cant blame God for i prayed for memory on the things I STUDIED and not for the things I DID NOT STUDIED.
Oh well,
i guess God was preparing my knowledge for something better;
O levels.
Anyway,
i dont actually care about how great or badly i do for my prelims,
it doesnt matter.
All that matters is the O levels and honouring God's glory.
So i went home after school to snooze.
Slept for like 2 hours and off i went to compass starbucks to study with Ying Hao, Seah, Clement and Yu Wei.
Studied for my geography.
We (Ying Hao, Seah and Ying Hao) were trying our best to make Clement understand God's love,
but he shot us down with stupid questions.
Oh well,
no matter what,
we're still seed sown in his soul.
Dont be discouraged guys (Ying Hao and Seah),
have faith in the Lord!
They studied till 7pm and left.
After which,
Cheng Shen and Hao Zhi came and join the lonely me.
Did more talking than studying there.
Haha.
But it was fun.
They left at 10.30pm and i remained behind to try to recap at least something.
Went home at 11pm, did my quiet time, bathed and studied till 2.30am.
Still didnt do much though.
Will brush up on more tomorrow,
or should i say,
later.
God is great!
ciaos fellas.

God Is Great

I just felt led by God to preach this parable to believers and non-believers:

"If the first piece of bread is given to God, then the whole loaf is His also; and if the roots of a tree are offered to God, the branches are His also. Some of the branches of the cultivated olive tree have been broken off, and a branch of a wild olive tree has been joined to it. You Gentiles are like that wild olive tree, and now you share the strong spiritual life of the Jews. So then, you must not despise those who were broken off like the branches. How can you be proud? You are just a branch; you don't support the roots--the roots support you.
But you will say, "Yes, but the branches were broken off to make room for me." That is true. They were broken off because they did not believe, while you remain in place because you do believe. But do not be proud of it; instead be afraid. God did not spare the Jews, who are like natural branches; do you think He will spare you? Here we see how kind and severe God is. He is severe toward those who have fallen, but kind to you--if you continue in His kindness. But if you do not, you too will be broken off. And if the Jews abandon their unbelief, they will be put back in the place they were; for God is able to do that. You Gentiles are like the branch of a wild olive tree that is broken off and then, contrary to nature, is joined to a cultivated olive tree. The Jews are like this cultivated tree; and it will be much easier for God to join these broken-off branches to their own tree again."
--- Romans 11:16-24

Need any elaborations? If so, feel free to ask me. I'll be more than willing to share with you.

Be Wise!

Went to church today with a tummyache.
Rushed to Tan Tock Seng's toilet to fight the war.
After that was real relief!
Haha.
Anyway,
met the guys later as usual,
outside 7-eleven.
Set off to church afterwards.
Today was the witnessing of the water baptism of some people.
It was a really cheerful ceremony as these people have finally made public about their love for Christ.
Next time it's my turn.
Haha.
Anyway,
after that was the preaching of the gospel.
Today's message was:
Be Wise.
It's a message to tell us to be wise and listen to the Father instead of the world.
And truthfully,
most of us believers have got to admit that we are still influenced more from the world than from God.
And that is something that we all have got to learn to change.
Money will be gone when you die,
so why work so hard for it?
It's mere paper.
But if you work as God intended for you to,
no matter how much you get paid,
you'll still feel that satisfaction in your heart and when you die,
you will still live with that satisfaction.
It really spoke to me,
and hopefully to other believers and non-believers.
God is indeed almighty.
After service,
went to Tan Tock Seng foodcourt to eat as usual.
Jeremy was supposed to join us for study group but left all of a sudden.
Anyway,
we played a few rounds of Taboo before heading back to church to study.
Upon reaching,
we started to study.
Jeremy Tay studied till he went bonkers, literally.
Haha.
Studied till 5pm and then it was time to close the church.
Keith, Dud, Hao ge and me went on to Tan Tock Seng Starbucks to continue our studying.
Met Stanley, Deborah amd Lester there.
Natalie came later.
It was a really fun and fruitful time of studying and fellowshiping with Dud, Keith and Ying Hao.
And we all just felt so blessed by God to have each other.
Stanley gave us some useful tips about o levels and
Dud left at around 6pm;
we continued studying.
We studied till 8pm and went to eat our dinner.
After which,
Keith went home and it's all down to me and Ying Hao.
Well,
i studied finished and just waited for Ying Hao to finish his studying.
I read the book called 'The Iron Man' while waiting.
Real cool stuff about an ex-ganster who's life got changed when he accepted Christ.
We headed for home at around 9.15pm.
Chatted about how much God has changed us during our Christian life on the way back.
And He has really changed me ever so much,
including my family situation.
Praise God!
Reached home at about 10pm.
Indeed,
we all got to be wise;
live for God and not for ourselves..

He's My Best Friend

Again,
another typical saturday.
Was supposed to play soccer in the morning with my brother,
but it started to rain,
so i went back to bed.
Woke up afterwards and straight to the tv i went.
Watched a compilation of Rowan Atkinson's stand-up comedies.
So funny.
Haha.
Anyway,
i went to church after that.
I went early for follow-up with Shaun.
Zi and Seah couldnt make it.
Anyway,
we had a a great talk and after that,
we started our pre-service prayer and worship after that.
Lilian preached the gospel today and told us this message:
Remember Me.
It's actually basically telling us the basics of remaining faithful to God.
I admit me and the guys were actually goofing around during the preaching,
but i understood what Lilian said by stayinhg faithful to God.
I apologise to Cheryl for our unattentive behaviour today.
After the preaching was life group discussion.
We all were given a short period of time to speak to God about our personal relationship with Him.
I spoke alot to Him and He told me this:
"Treat me as your best friend first, then I will treat you as mine."
So that's when i realise that,
i must first be intimate with God,
then He'll come to me.
We split up into our accountability group later;
Keith, Zi, Seah, Hao ge and me were together.
We discussed and shared about what God spoke to us and about our families.
It was a really great time of sharing as we held nothing back at the discussion.
Then Shaun came and join us and told us his testimony that God could change our entire family.
It was really amazing how graceful and omnipotent God was.
After life group,
we went for dinner and i showed everyone how i could transform to Ah-Beng-a-tron.
Haha.
Zi and Xiang left us for steamboat at his home.
We had a really great time at dinner and we discussed about the different baptisms.
Sign me, Zi and Seah up for the next baptism!
Haha.
Anyway,
we played Taboo later and it was great fun.
Left after that with Jesslyn and Jodi.
Sent them to the interchange and off i went into the nearby Mac to study.
While studying,
i met Jeremy there and so we studied together.
At around 10,
i left for Braddell to meet my mom and dad.
Jeremy stayed on to study on his own.
Went for supper with mom and dad,
and i really have to thank God,
cause i can really see the change between both of them.
Still praying for their salvation and i know it will soon be time where they will accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
I'll just have to continue having faith in the Lord.
So all in all,
it was a really fun day.
Indeed,
God really meant it when He said that i'll first have to treat Him as my best friend and then He'll treat me as mine.
And so i now declare,
God is my best friend..

Life Group Outing (Men Only)

Today was life group outing for the older boys;
those who are about to take their o levels.
It was a really fun day,
though Zi couldnt make it because he got food poisoning.
Haha.
What a loser.
Anyway,
Ying Hao, Jeremy, Keith and me first met earlier to get a bible for Eugene as he's bible is pathetic;
it doesnt even have Romans.
After that,
we met Shaun, Jasmine and Matthew outside The Body Shop.
We decided where to go for lunch there and decided to go to Bras Basah Kopitiam to have a taste on their pizzas.
It was a long road,
but we had fun along the way.
When we finally reached there,
it was packed.
Fortunately,
we managed to find a table just right for all of us to fit in.
Praise God!
So we went to buy our food and we saw Fiona Xie and that affro-haired channel-U guy.
That was when i realised my dream hairstyle;
affro!
Watch me out after o levels man.
Haha.
So Seah came to join us as we ate.
Upon eating finish,
we went to SMU to try to find a place where we can just chill and play the board games that Shaun brought.
Thank you Shaun!
We settled down at this place called Mr. Tea which sells very nice and affordable tea.
They had a drink called Men Only and another drink called Gal Power.
Ying Hao said they put viagra into the Men Only drink and i questioned him on what they would put into the Gal Power drink.
In the end,
i had a Milo Dinosaur instead.
How ironical.
Jeremy and me then decided to challenge each other on PES06 on our PSPs'.
I used Arsenal and he used Manchester United.
I won 5-0.
Haha.
Nice fight Jeremy.
Anyway,
we played Jengar and UNO after that.
We started chatting about biblical stuff.
Cool stuff that i learnt today.
At around 4,
Matthew and Jeremy left.
We stuck around and chat until around 1730.
Seah, Hao ge, Keith and me wanted to study,
so Shaun suggested the National Library and on the way,
we could stop by this really cool Christian bookstore called Tecman.
We went into the store and saw lots of cool stuffs.
I bought a book and accessory.
As it was late,
Seah decided not to study.
So we walked with Jasmine and him back to Plaza Sing.
On the way,
i started imitating how Ah Bengs' walk.
Then we started this conversation on Ah Bengs';
imagine if there was a University For Ah Bengs,
and what if there was an annual Ah Bengs' convention and lecture.
Haha.
Then i became Ah-Beng-a-tron,
Keith became Stone-a-tron
and Ying Hao became Gay-a-tron.
Haha.
Upon reaching Plaza Sing,
Jasmine went to meet her friends and Seah went home.
Ying Hao, Keith, Shaun and me went up to the food court and study.
After a while, Shaun left.
We studied till around 2045.
After that,
Keith went to take the MRT back to Pasir Ris while Ying Hao and me took the North-East line back.
Ying Hao started to gay around in the MRT until it reached Kovan.
I went off and we said goodbye.
Overall,
it was a fun day
and we really have to thank God for making all these possible.
Hopefully God has healed Zi of his food poisoning.
Well, i prayed for him and i know God will heal him.
Thank you Jesus..

He Is My Concentration

Today was study day;
cant say it it wasnt coming since i havent been really studying the past few days.
But today was a really long day.
I met Cheng Shen, Desmond and Kai Ling at Mac at around 1300
( i was late ).
I ate my lunch and began my mugging after.
Chemistry is so easy when Cheng Shen explains it to you,
that's why Breast-boy is now my science teacher.
Haha.
Anyway,
Hao Zhi and his girlfriend was supposed to meet us at 1 but ended up coming at 3.
That's so punctual of him.
By then,
Cheng Shen had to leave for his tuition at Eunos.
And so left Cheng Shen,
leaving me behind with two couples;
Desmond and Kai Ling,
Hao Zhi and Sock Kee ( dont blame me if i spelt wrongly ).
But anyway,
they left at around 5 and so i joined Janice and Eleanor at the other table.
Haha.
There,
i continued my mugging and eventually reached the unit of Organic Chemistry,
how i hate that topic!
I started playing my psp when i reached that chapter.
Until we decided to eat our dinner;
prata.
After eating,
we went back to Mac and studied.
I eventually finished the chapter of Alkane and Alkene after one and a half hour.
I stopped there as i dared not study on Alcohol and Carbonic Acid.
I'll just leave it to tomorrow to study finish my Chemistry.
So i sumarised whatever i learnt today and we went our seperate ways afterwards.
Tiring day,
But i still thank God for empowering me with the concentration to study for six and a half hours straight.
Indeed,
He is my concentraion..

I Want To Fall In Love With You

Today was supposed to be study day,
but it ended up being soccer day.
Haha.
How ironic,
o levels are just around the corner and all we can think about is playing.
Anyway,
met Cheng Shen, Desmond and Edmund for lunch
before Gilbert, Guan Liang and Kang Cheng met us.
Afterwhich,
we proceeded to the street soccer court around my housing area.
Hao Zhi, Jeremy, Sam and Wei Jie came to meet us later.
We played a few matches
(which i wasnt exactly playing too well in)
before we all got shagged out.
Kang Cheng and company started to do what they're best at;
taking out the pack of poker cards and player 'tai ti'.
Well,
i didnt really liked to play 'tai ti',
so bert, Hao Zhi, Edmund, Wei Jie and me continued kicking.
Until this bunch of Yu Ying guys wanted to play with us,
which we gladly obliged.
We thrashed them in and out, upside down.
Haha.
Though we thrashed them,
we realised that even though they played very rough,
speed always prevails.
Haha.
Bert and me are two fine examples.
We slacked under the block for awhile afterwards
until they all came over to my place;
bert, Sam, Guan Liang, and goon either left then or had left earlier.
We watched France soccer highlights on the tv whilst
Desmond, Hao Zhi and Wei Jie took turns to shower.
We watched and played 'tai ti' until around 7
After that,
we made our way to Kovan to eat dinner;
Kang Cheng, Cheng Shen and Edmund went home.
After we ate,
Hao Zhi and me decided to take a look at Desmond and Wei Jie's tuition room at kovan.
We went there and Hao Zhi started to mess around with Wee Teck and Yi Xin.
Haha.
We left after the tuition teacher came.
We then went to Mac to meet Cheng Shen and studied chem all the way till 10.
Then we all went our seperate ways.
The Song 'A Love Song For A Savior' has been playing in my head the whole day
and boy dont i want to fall in love with Jesus..

A World-Class Footballer's Testimony On God

Jay-Jay Okocha joined ambitious Championship outfit Hull City on Tuesday and insisted he had been guided by God.

The former Bolton and Nigeria captain, 34, turned down several of Hull's Championship rivals to join Phil Brown's men on an initial 10-month deal, with the option of a further year.

Okocha was a free agent after growing bored of life at Qatar Sports Club and is reunited with Brown after the pair worked together at Bolton.

And the mercurial midfielder looked ripe for an Indian summer as he proved his fitness in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Sheffield Wednesday this morning.

Okocha, a devout Roman Catholic, returns to England after a one-year spell in Qatar.

He said: 'I always ask God if it is his will, and if so, then let it be.

'Whatever comes out of it I will accept it. That's the message I got and that's why I'm here at Hull.

'My faith comes before anything. It has also taught me to respect and admire people for what they are and who they are.

'I pray a lot and it has helped me throughout my whole career to stay calm and focused.'

Okocha, capped 73 times by Nigeria, looked in decent shape against Wednesday alongside Henrik Pedersen, another former Bolton man recruited by Brown.

Okocha who is Nigeria's football living legend,
gave up all the riches;
offers from various top flight English clubs,
to join a lower league English club, Hull City.
He had the chance to earn more money at the bigger clubs,
but decided to join Hull City as he felt he was guided by God.
This is just yet another testimony to prove that good things
will come as God intended for you.
As long as you remain faithful to Him,
you can leave everything to Him and let His will be done.

I Just Have To Praise God!

So what i write here today is really because God has touched me.
I am not afraid or ashamed to admit,
that there has been accusations and quarrelings between my parents a month ago.
Aparrently,
my mother suspects my father of having an affair.
I have been praying to God for their relationship to get better ever since they quarrelled.
And it started off well the next week and i knew God was the cause of it.
But the week after,
the quarreling resumed
and so i thought to myself,
Why God doing this to me?
And then i realised,
God is awesome.
For he made my parents cast out all their doubts about each other.
And within the space of 3 weeks,
God has made my parents closer to each other.
My father and mother even goes to karaoke together on Saturday nights.
What really touched me,
was the scene i saw just 30mins ago;
the sight of my mother watching golf on the sports' channel with my father.
You guys may not get it,
but my mother does not ever watch sports.
And what touched my heart was that they were both watching together happily.
I am really touched by what God has done in my life,
and this will spur me to be a better Christian.
Even though both my parents are not Christians,
i'm still praying for their salvation and i'll continue praying until the day they are saved.
As said in Ephesians 5:20, "In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, always give thanks to God the Father."
I just have to praise the sovereign God.

Sing Praises For A Wonderful Day

So today was an uber fun day;
our 4e2's class trip.
The day started on a bad side.
It rained and we were supposed to have a day of fun at the beach.
We meeted at 0800 at Compass Point first,
waited for everyone to arrive,
and made our way to Harbourfront.
The thoughts of the bad weather filled our minds,
but that didnt kill our day of fun.
When we made it to Harboufront,
we waited for those who didnt meet us at Compass Point to come0.
Afterwhich,
we realised that the rain had faded.
Praise God!
So we all walked around Vivo City for a little while
to buy our food supplies.
After a stringe of delays,
we sat the monorail and made it to Sentosa.
We reached there, found a spot and played Volleyball,
or Wolleyball so to speak.
We had fun as we formed different teams and battled against one another.
Then we switched to football.
When we started to eat,
it started to drizzle heavily and we had to moved into the pavallion.
Then Bryan decided to gather all the Christians to pray together,
for fine weather.
It was so cool.
We prayed together and Mr Lim closed us in prayer.
After a short time of period,
the rain faded again.
Praise God!!
So we played some games organised by Xiang Yu,
and we are all really grateful for what he has gone through to make sure we had a wonderful day.
Praise Xiang Yu!
It was real fun.
Unfortunately, Mr Lim had to leave early for a course.
But we still managed to tau pok him before he left.
Apart from Mr Michael,
he's the second teacher that we have ever tau pok'd.
After the games,
we went outside to play football again.
Haha.
After we've played enough,
most of the boys jumped into the water;
except Guan Hua cause he forgot to bring an extra pair of undies.
Haha.
We messed around in the water and started throwing all the balls into the sea with us.
Some of us even swam over to the other island,
leaving Cheng Kai at the shallow part;
still learning how to swim.
I got cut by the rocks while trying to retrieve a ball someone
either kicked or throwed to the rocky area.
No one wanted to retrieve so i decided to do it.
Painful after effects of that cut,
especially the fact that we were in salt water.
After we all swam enough,
we got out of the water and washed up.
Since there were much food brought,
there was a lot of leftovers.
Praise the people who brought the food along for us!
We ate most of the leftovers after our wash up.
Afterwhich,
we made our way back to Vivo City via the monorail.
We pretty much slacked at Vivo City for a long time after reaching there;
we sat at that empty space outside the Sentosa monorail entrance and stoned there.
We took a group picture and some people left.
We must really thank Xiang Yu for his organization,
and we all know that Xiang Yu did not exactly quite enjoyed the day as much as we had;
him being the organiser and all.
We played passing with the football in that area of the shopping centre
until the security guard came.
We stoned for while afterwards and decided to move towards the 'star-gazing steps'.
We all decided to put our things there and 'da bao' food to eat at that area.
The guys all ate Carls' Jr.,
and most of the girls,
well except Priscilla who was crazy to want to eat the leftover leftovers in her attempt to grow fat,
ate Long John Silver.
I offered all of them my Beef Cheese Fries and boy it was delicious.
After that,
we slacked all the way at the steps.
We had a boys' conversations until we realised there was a couple behind us
either making out, or making love.
It was a disgusting sight.
Then we started discussing about a series of topic.
Loo Yee then received a message from Mr Lim that his son, Malcolm
has a fever that reached to 40 degress celcius!
So we prayed for Malcolm,
hoping that God will heal his sickness
(and we know he will).
Then we started to get really irritated with that couple,
and Bryan confronted them when we were leaving.
Cool eh.
Me, Cheng Kai and Yong Liang then rushed to the toilet as we needed to 'wee wee' badly.
I dont want to get into details,
but there was an "Ouch!" involved when Cheng Kai was peeing beside me.
HAHA!
After that,
we all made our way back home via the North-East line.
All of us were completely shagged out from the fun day.
All in all,
we all had a wonderful day!
Indeed,
sing praises for this wonderful day..

He Worked His Magic Again

Today, i was out studying with Cheng Shen, Jeremy and Lay Hoe.
We studied at Macdonalds' and was sitting at one of the worse locations;
right in front of the door.
Which meant that whenever the door opens,
the warm air would just rush in to take over the cold air.
Haha.
Despite the bad location, we still had fun.
First off,
Cheng Shen bit himself while eating his cheese burger.
Then Jeremy started his gayness,
by bullying his poor girlfriend.
Haha.
Then there was this guy who came in and sat at the table in front of ours.
He seemed to be mediating.
Then he started smiling at our direction;
either to me or Cheng Shen.
I figured it was to me
and i told the guys that he was figuring out a plan to rape me.
Haha.
Real fun stuff there at Mac.
When Jeremy and Lay Hoe left,
Cheng Shen came over to my house.
Showed him some soccer videos and slacked till 6.
My legs were 'itchy',
so i asked Cheng Shen if he wanted to play football at the street soccer court.
He agreed and we made our way there.
He kicked for a while and then these 2 malay boys came.
They asked us if we wanted to play soccer tennis and so we agreed.
We ended us owning them!
The malays were a show offing their fusbol skills,
but their showing offs were not much of a big deal.
Me and Cheng Shen ended up blocking every ball that came our way,
and scored some well taken goals as well.
To think the two Saints' defenders can score goals.
Anyway,
we played till 7 and went home afterwards.
It was really a fun day
and i just want to praise God again,
for working his magic in my life.
If you guys can remember,
i prayed to God to take away my lonliness yesterday and today,
he gave me the day of fun with Breast-Boy!
Haha.
Praise God (:

Worship!

Jars of Clay - Love Song For A Savior

In open fields of wild flowers
She breathes the air and flies away
(She thanks her Jesus for) the daisies and the roses
In no simple language
Someday she'll understand the meaning of it all

He's more than the laughter or the stars in the heavens
As close as a heartbeat or a song on her lips
Someday she'll trust Him and learn how to see Him
Someday He'll call her and she will come running
And fall in His arms, and the tears will fall down and she'll pray

[chorus]
I want to fall in love with You
I want to fall in love with You
I want to fall in love with You
I want to fall in love with You

Oooooooh, Oooooooh

Sitting silent, wearing Sunday best
The sermon echoes through the walls
(A great salvation through) it calls to the people
Who stare into nowhere, and can't feel the chains on their souls

He's more than the laughter or the stars in the heavens
As close as a heartbeat or a song on our lips
Someday we'll trust Him and learn how to see Him
Someday He'll call us and we will come running
And fall in His arms, and the tears will fall down and we'll pray

[chorus]
I want to fall in love with You
I want to fall in love with You
I want to fall in love with You
I want to fall in love with You

we want to pray
la la la la la la la...

It seems too easy to call You Savior
Not close enough to call you God
(So as I sit and think of) words I can mention
To show my devotion

[chorus]
I want to fall in love with You
I want to fall in love with You (My Heart Beats for you)
I want to fall in love with You
I want to fall in love with You
[3x]

Chris Tomin - Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind, but now I see

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But, God who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

Lifehouse - Everything

Find me here
And speak to me
I want to feel you
I need to hear you
You are the light
That's leading me
To the place
Where I find peace again

You are the strength
That keeps me walking
You are the hope
That keeps me trusting
You are the life
To my soul
You are my purpose
You're everything

And how can I stand here with you
And not be moved by you
Would you tell me how could it be
Any better than this
(Ahh Yeahhh)

You calm the storms
And you give me rest
You hold me in your hands
You won't let me fall
You steal my heart
And you take my breath away
Would you take me in
Would you take me deeper, now

And how can I stand here with you
And not be moved by you
Would you tell me how could it be
Any better than this

And how can I stand here with you
And not be moved by you
Would you tell me how could it be
Any better than this

Cause you're all I want
You're all I need
You're everything, everything
You're all I want
You're all I need
You're everything, everything
You're all I want
You're all I need
You're everything, everything
You're all I want
You're all I need
Everything, everything...

When how can I stand here with you
And not be moved by you
Would you tell me how could it be
Any better than this

Oh And how can I stand here with you
And not be moved by you
Would you tell me how could it be
Any better any better than this

And how can I stand here with you
And not be moved by you
Would you tell me how could it be
Any better than this

Would you tell me how could it be
Any better than this...

I Will Be That Salt

Yet another typical Sunday;
woke up real early and went to church.
I was really shagged out,
cause i slept at 0230 and i woke up at 0835.
Anywho,
i still got enough energy to get up to make my way to God's house.
I ended up being there early,
so i bought The New Paper to kill time.
I was reading when Jamie and the rest of my Life Group members came.
Well,
they were all having fun,
laughing away and goofing around.
And all of a sudden,
i felt lonely.
Haha,
weird man am i.
I began to realise that all of my Life Group members had someone to be together with except me;
Jamie and his cousin,
Lucas and Kelmund,
Jodi and Jesslyn..
How i wished Zi was around.
Haha.
Again,
i am not gay.
But anyway,
at church,
Pastor Tony told us a message today:
Don't Rub It In.
The message was telling us to be like Salt;
preventing the people from corruption,
preserving Christianity,
never lose the flair of the love for God.
Afterwhich,
there was the installation of the Life Group leaders.
Who knows,
i may be there one day.
Haha.
After church,
went to eat lunch at Tan Tock Seng
and went back to church afterwards to study.
Didnt do much today cause i coulnt concentrate;
i was too tired.
After that,
i went home
alone.
So, that's more or less about my day.
Gonna watch Arsenal kick Portsmouth a$% later.
GO GUNNERS!
I will write in the final scores for Sunday's fixtures later.
In the meantime,
see ya!
And thank you for reading my bland ol' blog.
Yes,
i'll be that Salt..

Be A Trail-Blazer

Today was a normal saturday day;
woke up late and went to church afterwards.
But today was anything but ordianary,
i couldnt move my legs when i woke up!
I had to struggle to get to my feet.
It's probably due to yesterday's road race
where i ran 3.2km and played soccer for 4 hours afterwards.
Well,
i eventually made it to my feet and had to limp through the whole entire day.
Pastor Ben's message today in church was:
A Potter In His Hands,
whereby he told us that God allowed bad things to happen to us because He will make sure that something better would come out of that circumstance.
And that's true,
the Devil is often demoralising us; guiltifying us.
Hoping that we'll fall and draw further and further away from God,
which he succeeded in many people.
That message has told us to be trail-blazers for people who did not believe in Him
and i will.
After church, we went for dinner.
Seah and Hao ge left early;
Seah for tuition,
and Ying Hao to bring his mother to church
(hopefully that went well).
I wasnt in the best of moods due to my legs
but i have to thank Keith for making my day.
"Me first" right Keith?
Haha.
After that left with Jodi and Jesslyn to Toa Payoh where i sent them off to the interchange
and afterwhich i went to meet my mom.
Saw Dawson, Jay and Zat there.
Had nice and funny conversations with them.
During the course of time,
i suddenly had a random thought:
Will anyone besides God and my family ever love me?
Random isnt it.
But whether i'll stay single forever or not,
i've decided to leave that God.
Anywho, i wish Dawson the best of lucks for his upcoming N' Level exams.
Overall,
today was kinda different without Zi around with me.
He's probably the best friend anybody can possibly have.
He's in Indonesia now and i'll pray for his safe return.
(p.s. I AM NOT GAY!)
At the same time,
i'll also pray for Douglas's safe return from his holiday.
Indeed,
Pastor Ben's message today really spoke to me to seriously,
be a trail-blazer..

God Is My Stamina

So today was my North Vista's first ever Road Race.
Well, i did prayed to God for him to guide me through the whole entire race
and he did!
So i went to school today as per normal;
setting my alarm clock at 0615 and waking up at 0645,
left house at 0655 and reached school at 0710.
So i went to school with an upset stomach
and so did Jeremy.
Haha.
So we decided to 'make poo' together.
We went to the first floor toilet at the class room block and started to shit in our individual seperate cubicles.
We ended up shitting and talking at the same time.
My voice was a lil' jerky due to the amount of force im using.
I dont need to get into those details,
but afterwhich,
we assembled at the parade square and we made our ways up to our class rooms.
Miss Chang came in with her 'PMS' attitude again.
She scolded me and Vei Kang cause she thought we guys were talking about other non-chemistry related subjects.
But we actually were discussing the questions on the board.
So i became really bored and started singing with Bryan.
Haha!
So after Chem, we assembled at the parade quare to take the shutter bus to Punggol Park
-_-"
(Punggol Park is less then 1km away from our school)
There was the seperate:
Competitive and Non-Competitive group,
whereby the Competitive group will stand in front of the Non-Competitive group.
We stretched a little and started off the race.
I started off fast,
so Guan Liang and Hui Yuan adviced me to slower down.
I ignored their advice and just kept going faster.
Many people were all actually betting on Shaifu to get first and Hui Yuan to get second,
especially after seeing me starting off so fast.
In the end, i just kept on running,
with a vision of Jesus carrying that heavy cross on his shoulders all the way to Calvary,
not giving up even though He knows His fate.
So i thought to myself,
If Jesus never gave up, why should i?
So i ran and i ran and by the time i reached the bridge,
i couldnt see anyone one else behind me.
I came in 1st after completing the rest of the race.
To tell you guys the truth, this i the first time i got 1st for ANYTHING.
So it was rather significant to me.
Apparently, Shaifu came in 2nd, Guan Liang came in 3rd, Muhaimin came in 4th and Hui Yuan came in 5th.
This was the first time i actually saw Jia Yi, Kang Cheng, Desmond, Seah and Phua running so seriously.
So after that, we walked back to school
and on our way, we saw
Wei Jie, Gilbert, Seng Meng and Cheng Shen still walking toward the end-point of the race.
Haha!
So we went back to school for the Teachers' Day concert.
Really have to thank the Saints' members for screaming their lung out when me and Guan Liang went up to the stage to collect out 1st and 3rd position medals respectively.
After the concert, we tau pok'ed Michael!
So fun to tau pok a teacher on Teachers' Day.
Haha.
Off we end to RP after that to eat.
Eat finish,
we went back to school to play football.
And we just played from 1300-1700.
After that, we slacked in the canteen.
I slept and when it was time to go home,
i was blur after just waking up from my slumber;
I wore my shoes the wrong way and i wore the wrong pants, Kang Cheng's pants apparently.
Haha.
Reached home and slacked all the way until now.
Gonna have to start studying tomorrow.
Indeed,
let God be your stamina..
